Key Performance Areas: Reporting to the WILDOCEANS Executive Director and working closely with the broader WILDOCEANS Project Management and WILDTRUST HR & Finance teams this position ensures the implementation of efficient and effective project management, administrative and reporting systems for the WILDCOCEANS projects, and management of the programmes assets and logistics. Responsibilities include coordination and continuous improvement of internal and external reporting, financial and administrative project systems in line WILDTRUST and donor policies; management of the research vessels, including R.V. Angra Pequena and other smaller programme assets and equipment; managing partner administrative requirements such as contracts and invoicing; coordination of meetings and general HR, and administrative assistance to the Executive Director. The role will have a junior administrator under its supervision, along with members of the Angra crew.
Requirements: This role is best suited to a dedicated, responsible and meticulous
individual who enjoys systems, administration and logistics, and who is passionate about ocean protection and social resilience. A minimum of an Honors Degree in marine sciences or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience. We are seeking an experienced project manager with excellent administrative, technical, communication and coordination skills and a good grasp of all Microsoft office software, especially Excel. Prior experience with logistics, asset management, and vessel management would be an advantage. This position requires a strong combination of high-level interpersonal, operations management and administrative skills. Candidate must be proactive, individually accountable and able to juggle priorities. A valid drivers license and own transport, as well as home WiFi, is essential.
