Key Performance areas: Reporting to the Strategic Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for: Co-ordinating and facilitating the Environmental Education project and its associated activities which includes planning and facilitating learning workshops & community awareness days, stakeholder engagement, overseeing volunteer activities and mentoring groups of facilitators.
Requirements: The successful candidate will be required to have a Diploma in Environmental Sciences / Nature Conservation / Community Development/ equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental education (with a strong focus on facilitation of activities, coordinating and mentoring), implementing community development projects or any other similar role. Proficiency in MS office, outstanding communication and people skills, proficiency in IsiZulu, ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines and able to respond effectively to changing priorities, excellent organizational and multitasking ability. Project Management, Budget oversight and reporting experience will be an advantage. A driver’s license is imperative.
